This research aims to determine the effect of using the dictation method on students' writing skills at the State Islamic High School of Ansan Jundakia Jambi. The aim is to determine its effectiveness and impact when applied in teaching Arabic to improve students' writing skills. The dictation method is part of "writing skills," a method for conveying educational material based on writing skills. It includes three basic components: first, the skill of spelling with two correct letters (the skill of correctly transcribing alphabets); second, the title "Wadi skill" (the skill of correctly placing punctuation marks); and third, the skill of clear and beautiful writing of letters and words. In terms of writing, the type of research in this thesis is a true experimental design using a post-test control design model only. Data were collected through observation and interview tests. The research investigated the effect of using a t-test to test the hypothesis. The results showed that students who underwent the test performed significantly better than students who did not. Thus, we can understand that there is a significant relationship between the spelling method and the writing skill in Arabic among the students of Insan Jindikia State High School.
