Abstract

This research aims to determine the quality of test items for the national standard madrasah final exam in Arabic Language for 12th grade students at MAN 1 Jambi City in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The research subjects were 12th grade students at MAN 1 Jambi City in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection was conducted using documentation methods. The data used were student answer sheets and exam questions from the national standard madrasah final exam. The analysis was conducted from the perspectives of validity, discriminatory power, difficulty level, and reliability with the assistance of Microsoft Excel. The results of this research show that 10 items are valid and 10 items are invalid. 5 items have good discriminating power, 5 items have fairly good discriminating power, and 10 items have poor discriminating power. 18 items have a moderate difficulty level, 1 item has an easy difficulty level, and 1 item has a difficult difficulty level. It was found that the overall reliability calculation of items 1 through 20 has a high reliability level. Therefore, after being analyzed from the aspects of validity, discriminating power, difficulty level, and reliability, the overall items of the Arabic language UAMBN (National Assessment Exam) at MAN 1 Jambi City are good (good test items).
