Sociophonology Pronunciation of the Letter Ain (ع) in Hijaic Letters Among the Javanese Tribe in Lantak Seribu Village Jambi

This research tries to find out whether there are changes in the pronunciation of the letter ain (ع) in hijaiyah letters in the Javanese community in lantak seribu village, renah pamenang sub-district, merangin district, jambi province, seen from sociophonology. From the results of the research there is a change in the sound of the letter ain (ع), namely the sound shift from /ain/, /a'/ to /ng/. This is due to social and environmental influences as well as the language used by the local community, namely Javanese. This research uses qualitative methods with tapping techniques and then the data is processed in such a way that it becomes a narrative text.
